Germany to Lift Partial Arms Embargo on Israel, Citing 'Stabilization' of Gaza Cease-fire

In early August, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz suspended arms exports to Israel that could be used in Gaza, hours after the Israeli government decided to expand its military offensive in the enclave. Germany is said to provide roughly 33 percent of Israel's arms imports.
